I was appointed to design and develop this website, including the identity and stationary for a local building contractors, Bricktek.
Whilst working closely with Bricktek throughout the planning and design process, I created the identity and required stationary.
Then I moved on to designing and developing the website, which was to show case there services and provide a contact page.

Design HTML5 CSS jQuery PHP
Taskbase is a simple task management App for the iPhone that is currently in development.
I designed the icon for the app along with a 'coming soon' page, that allows users to sign up via a custom Ajax/PHP form to a MailChimp powered newsletter, so the users can then be notified when the App is available.
I also set up the related social networking accounts on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

Planning and research is an important part of every project. It involves getting to know what your business does, including your goals and the target audience of your service or product.
Then I research competitors, market trends, product or service differentiators etc. With this information I will plan out the best possible concept.
I usually start the design process by sketching my ideas down on paper, giving myself a good idea of what I visually aim to achieve in Photoshop/Illustrator.
At a number of stages through the design process, I will require feedback from you to make sure all specified requirements have been met and that you approve of the work.
At the development stage I take all of the individual graphic elements from the approved design, and use them to create the actual functional website or application.
I use either TextMate or Espresso as my editor of choice, then begin to hand type the smart, semantic and streamlined code that will turn your site into one streamlined experience.
Now that we have the completed product, I then upload the files to the server so it's live and available to the public.
Every website or application requires maintenance and updating from time to time. I offer a full management and maintenance service for a monthly fee, or if you prefer I can provide you with some basic training.

I became interested in the internet and making websites from the age of 13, when all that was available was a painfully slow dial-up connection! I had learnt a lot about HTML and Tables which held the layouts together as there was no such thing as a CSS stylesheet then!
By the time I was 15 I had my first major web site which was an Underground music top sites called UKunderground, where people could vote for there favourite website. Since then I have continued to stay at the forefront, keeping up with trends and leaning new programming languages such as HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Ruby on Rails, and Objective-C along the way.
